On 30.09.2026 at 12:00, an Addiction Combat Training was organized for the students of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Yeşilova İsmail Akın Vocational School of Tourism. The training aimed to raise awareness about addiction, inform students about types of addiction, the individual and societal effects of addiction, and ways to prevent addiction, sharing important information related to the topic.
In the training program, information was provided to students by Burdur Provincial Police Department Narcotic Crimes Unit Police Officer Murat KIRIL, Burdur Provincial Health Directorate Social Services Specialist Ayşe CAN, and Psychologist Bilal Berk YAŞA.
Within the scope of the program, particular emphasis was placed on substance addiction, the addiction process, the effects of addiction on individuals and the environment, prevention of addiction, recognizing risky behaviors, and support mechanisms that can be referred to when necessary. The training, which also answered students' questions, highlighted the importance of early awareness and accurate information in the fight against addiction. The training program, which received intense interest from students, concluded after mutual questions and evaluations.
