The 8th National Tourist Guiding Congress was held on April 24-25, 2026, hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University at Lavanta Tepesi Hotel.

The 8th National Tourist Guiding Congress, organized under the coordination of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Tourism and Yeşilova İsmail Akın Vocational School of Tourism, was chaired by Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Özcan ÖZDEMİR, a faculty member of the Tourist Guiding program. The congress hosted participants from 38 universities across Turkey. The congress, held with the contribution of 217 authors, was attended by 185 physical participants, our students from university units, and esteemed protocol guests. In this year's 8th congress, a "Record of Papers" was set with 111 papers. Our congress, which hosted scientific sessions on the first day, provided unforgettable experiences to our guests with social activities throughout Burdur on the second day.
