With Applied Education, Tourism Professionals Ready for the Sector at BAKIF 2026

Yeşilova İsmail Akın Tourism Vocational School, which stands out with its applied education model in the field of tourism and hospitality, attracted attention by participating in the Western Mediterranean Career Employment Fair (BAKIF) 2026 with its students. The fair, hosted by Akdeniz University and coordinated by the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), was held on April 13-14 and brought together important representatives of the tourism and hospitality sector.

Makes a Difference with Applied Education Model

Thanks to the experiential learning and fully applied education model adopted by the vocational school, students have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge directly within the sector. This approach was also evident in the meetings students held with sector representatives during the fair. Students attracted the attention of employers with their practical knowledge and skills.

Strong Representation in Tourism and Hospitality

Students studying in the field of tourism and hotel management held one-on-one meetings with hotel businesses and sector stakeholders at the fair, evaluating internship and employment opportunities. As a result of the meetings, new business connections were established, and important information about the current expectations and developments of the sector was obtained.

Education Approach Integrated with the Sector

Participation in the fair stood out as a reflection of the strong cooperation the vocational school has established with the sector. While students reinforced the practical experiences they gained during their education processes in the field, they also obtained important gains that would guide their career planning.

Yeşilova İsmail Akın Tourism Vocational School continues to train qualified, equipped, and employment-ready individuals in the field of tourism and hospitality, thanks to its application-based education approach and strong collaborations with the sector.
